Barrios Employees receive coveted performance award

Five Barrios Technology employees were recently commended for their high level of expertise and outstanding performance supporting NASA Johnson Space Center and the International Space Station program. Each employee was selected based on nominations presented from their management or peers in their work area and were presented with a Barrios Silver BEAR Award. Barrios Manager, Craig Cantrell received a Silver BEAR Award for his diligence and commitment to the employees under his management and the NASA customer.The inclusion of the automobiles has various parts that cnc tool holder supplied with proper cases and are important for the proper drive and smooth calibration. Contrell’s persistence in working through many budget issues associated with the Electrical Manufacturing Facility at Johnson Space Center JSC over the past year have resulted in employees being able to keep their jobs. His efforts also kept a valuable lab resource for JSC from being closed. 

Contrell’s efforts have provided for a re-purposing of the facility and been able to negotiate temporary duty for employees on the JSC Engineering Technology and Sciences contract. He has provided the NASA customer multiple options and has remained flexible during the transition of the lab. Whether the EMF remains as it is switches roles to becoming a specialty shop, or leases the lab and skillsets as needed Contrell’s has developed a plan to execute that option for the customer. 

Barrios engineer Nick Estrada recently received the Silver BEAR award for providing outstanding support to International Space Station real-time and training operations. He was recognized for his contributions to the Waste and Hygiene Compartment team and his role as the Lead Operations Support Office for ISS Increment 37.
